Barbara Barringer

Barbara Ann Harwood Barringer, 75 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.
Mrs. Barringer was born September 29, 1940 to the late Houston Alex and Bessie Agnes Harwood. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Ray Barringer; daughters, Paulette Plyler, Melonie Mesimer; brother, Harold Wesley Harwood. Barbara was a woman of great faith and was extremely active in her church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, August 1, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Faith Freewill Baptist Church in New London, officiated by Rev. Andrew Ball and Mike Hannon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include:daughters, Myra and husband Robbie Lefler of Albemarle, Mandy and husband Frank Paul of Mt. Pleasant; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. brother, Bobby K. Harwood.
