Barbara Biggers

Barbara Ann Biggers, 73 of 200 Henning Drive, Albemarle, NC passed away on July 18, 2011 at CMC-Main in Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, July 20 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The service will be held at 4 PM on Thursday, July 21 in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Darrell Huneycutt will officiate. Mrs. Biggers was born in Stanly County, NC on November 8, 1937 to the late Rufus and Ethel Helms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Gail Whitley; and brother, Joel Dan Helms. Mrs. Biggers is survived by her husband of 37 years, Clyde David “C.D” Biggers; daughters, Cheryl W. May and husband James of West Virginia, Taska Little and husband Tony of Oakboro, Denise H. Freeman of Albemarle, Cristie B. Thompson and husband Tim of Norwood; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association, 122 N.
