Barbara Gibson

Barbara Taylor Gibson passed away June 16, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on February 15, 1941 in Concord, N.C. to the late Millard and Annie Taylor. Barbara was a wonderful person who had an impact on everyone she met. She had a gift for making people laugh and zest for living life to the fullest. She will be missed by many, but none more than her family. Barbara loved reading, playing games of chance, sewing and bowling. Her pride and joy was her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by; daughter Pennie (Roger) Blake of Gold Hill, N.C., daughter-in-law Nancy Lowder of Concord, N.C., granddaughter Jessica (Chance) English of Huntsville, AL; great-grandchildren Kash, Kruise, Kase, Kooper and Kollins; siblings Steve (Betty) Taylor, Bud (Hazel)Taylor, Judy (Randy) Griffin and Rick (Dianne) Taylor.

Barbara was preceded in death by; her husband Jim Gibson, son Arnie Lowder, parents and sister Catherine Drye.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19th from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm, followed by a 3 o'clock memorial service at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, N.C., officiated by Rev. Tim Newton.
