Barbara Smith

Barbara Thomas Smith, 48 years of age, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at her home in Stanfield. Mrs. Smith was born October 29, 1964 in Stanly County to the late Larry Wayne Thomas and the late Cleo Patsy Thomas . She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and caregiver. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, at Friendship Baptist Church, 9360 Oak Grove Road, Stanfield, NC 28163. Rev. Clint Lewey will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include husband, Alfred Clay Smith of Marshville; daughters, Jessica Smith Furr and Erica Lee Smith of Stanfield; her brother, Gerald Wayne Thomas of Stanfield; her sister, Sharon Krimminger of Locust; and five nieces and nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Smith family.
