Barbara Anita Stowe, 65 of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her home. The family will receive friends at Mallard Creek Baptist Church 14901 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am, with Minister Brooks and Rev. Tommy Bright officiating. Anita was born on March 4, 1947 in Mecklenburg County, to the late Harry Flynn and Mildred Berlynne Taylor Stowe. A retired veteran of the US Army 108th Division. Anita began her career with North Carolina National Bank in 1968, prior to the companies merger with Bank of America. She held many high impact roles across the bank, leading technology projects that spanned Operations, multiple bank systems mergers, and ultimately Enterprise Technology Infrastructure Release Management. Always known for her driving leadership “Style”, she was loved and respected for her candor and spirit. Anita was an avid gardener with a passion for her family and spent many an hour on the tractor. Anita is survived by: brother, Lexy Stowe of Mooresville; sisters, Linda Keasler of Concord and Millie Almond of Harrisburg.
