Beatrice "Bea" Eudy, 82 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle.
She was born March 18, 1932 in North Carolina to the late Clinton Privette and Laura Maude Mullis. She was also preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Leroy Eudy, Sr.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Oakboro First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The funeral service will be Saturday at 3:00 pm at Oakboro First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Terrell Watts, and Chip Alsobrooks. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery.
Survivors include daughter, Amy (Todd Smith) Whitley of Mount Gilead, NC; daughter, Lynn (Steve) Whitley of Lewisville, NC; son, Kenneth (Linda Davis) Eudy, Jr of Raleigh; sister, Lib Baucom of Monroe; grandchildren, Leslie W. Pitts, Allison W. Lowrance, Cameron Whitley, Chris Eudy, Emma Eudy, Matthew Whitley, Lindsey W. Pate, and Jordan Whitley; 16 great-grandchildren; and special nephew, Rick Huneycutt of Oakboro, NC.
She along with her husband, Ken operated Eudy's Red & White Grocery Store in Oakboro from 1961 to 1990, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and playing cards with her special friend, Enos. She loved her Forrest Oakes family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Stanly County, Dr. Kepp, and the staff of Forrest Oakes for their compassionate care.
