Belle Fesperman

Belle Laton Fesperman, 94, of Vicker’s Store Road, Albemarle, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010, at CMC Main, Charlotte. Born April 5, 1916, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Haywood Laton and the late Esther Velma McSwain Laton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Allen Fesperman; sisters, Ollie Oaks and Hazel Morris; brother, Ned Laton. Visitation will be 2 – 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov.7, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle on Sunday at 4 PM. Rev. Dan Abernathy will officiate and burial will follow in Anderson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by daughters, Sylvia Jeans and husband Roger of Lexington, Va. and Linda Kohr and husband Gib of Sharon, SC; and one granddaughter, Angela Everitt and husband Jim of Charlotte, NC. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved gardening, cooking and sharing time with friends and family. She was a member of Badin Baptist Church and former member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church and Providence Baptist Church in Charlotte. A special thanks to those who visited and cared for her during her last years.
