Benjamin Banas

August 18, 1920 — September 20, 2016

Benjamin Joseph Banas, 96 years of age, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016.

Benjamin was born August 15, 1920 in Ciero, Ill to the late Peter Banas and Rose Janka Banas.

Cpl Banas proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served with 60th Infantry in the European Theater of Operations. Cpl Banas was awarded Combat Infantryman's Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Unit Citation, Purple Heart and two Battle Stars.

Burial with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Memorials in honor of Cpl Banas may be made to your local Veterans Honor Guard.
