Benjamin Reuben Kendall, Jr., 84 years of age, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville. Mr. Kendall was born August 22, 1927 in Mecklenburg County to the late Benjamin Reuben Kendall Sr. and the late Connie Seymour Kendall. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Alonzo Kendall; his sisters, Thelma Medlin and Elizabeth Gibson; and his daughter, Alice Rollins. He was a World War II Army Veteran who served in the European Theater. He worked as an electrician for over 60 years with local contractors Meachem Electric and Foy & Sons Electric. His family was his most precious possession. He richly blessed all of them as well as all who knew him with his humble, gentle spirit. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Sunday, March 18, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Monday, at Community Baptist Church of Locust, with a 30 minute state prior to the service. Rev. Tim Kendall will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dixie Pinyan Kendall; his children, Joyce Maxwell and her late husband, Larry, of Iron Station, Danny Lee Kendall and his wife, Maureen, of Matthews, Timothy Bruce Kendall and his wife, Tammy, of Stanfield, and Jennifer Rebecca Kendall of Dallas, N. C.; 14 grandchildren, Matthew Maxwell, Robin Boone, Pamela Maxwell, Christina Morris, Tommy Rollins, April Kendall, Nathaniel Kendall, Amanda Kendall, Brandon Kendall, Spencer Kendall, Jonathan Kendall, Brian Kendall, Shannon Kendall, and Bailey Kendall; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and his brothers, Reuben Kendall of Wilmington and Jimmy Kendall of York, S.
