Bennie Mcclellan

Mr. Bennie "Pete" McClellan 84 of 241 Stonewall Circle SW passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center in Concord. Born on May 29, 1925 in Cabarrus County to the late Harris James McClellan and the late Abbie Gill Hopkins McClellan . He was also preceded in death by his wife Helen Marie Rhinehardt McClellan on October 13, 2009. Mr. McClellan was a self employed paint contractor, and was a member of Friendship Southern Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII. The family meeting place will be at his home. A visitation will be held at Friendship Southern Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 22 from 2 PM until 3 PM. The funeral service will follow at 3 PM at the church, with the Rev. Bill Saylor and the Rev. George Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survived by: daughter, Bennie McClellan Trull and husband Bobby J. of Concord; sons, Keith McClellan of Concord, and James McClellan of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Ashley T. Thompson, and Amy B.
