Benny Herrin

Benny Wilson Herrin, 78 years of age, of Locust, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at his home.

Ben was born May 10, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Marshall Wilson Herrin and the late Mattie Elizabeth Lilly Herrin.

A Graveside Service, officiated by Colonel Michael Cannon, Jr., will be at 3 pm, Monday, May 5, 2014 at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. At other times the family will be gathering at the home.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Lee Hooks Herrin of the home; sons, Christopher Wilson Herrin and wife Kelly of Locust and Thomas Gordon Herrin of Charlotte; daughter, Catherine Howard and husband Shane of Locust; grandchildren, Tyler, Brianne and Emily Howard and Christopher L. Herrin; and sister, Carol Joe Lawhon of Raleigh.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
