Bernice Hinson

Bernice Doby Hinson, age 84 of Albemarle, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Lutheran Home of Albemarle. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Saturday, August 18 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will held at First Baptist Church of Albemarle on Sunday, August 19 at 2:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Harold McDonald. Burial will follow at Randall United Methodist Church Cemetery, Norwood. At other times, the family will meet at the home of her daughter, Judy Dixon at 849 Brevard Drive, Albemarle. Mrs. Hinson was born in Stanly County on August 18, 1927, to the late Carl Lee Doby and the late Beulah Bell Holt Doby. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Patterson Hinson in July 8, 1998. She is survived by one son, Ronny Hinson and his wife Treva of Albemarle; one daughter, Judy Hinson Dixon and her husband Eddie of Albemarle; one sister, Carlene Doby Russell of Albemarle; and six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 202 N. Second Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Hinson family.
