Bertha Mae Thompson Honeycutt, 82, 29693 Tiffany Woods in Richfield, formerly of Concord, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010 at Stanly Regional Hospital. She was born on May 28, 1928 in Mecklenburg County to the late Carley Lee Thompson and Margaret Elizabeth Long. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 20 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord from 7:00 until 8:30. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21 in the chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Rev. Tony Biles and Rev. Harold McDonald officiating. Interment will be at Mallard Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will be meeting at 3249 Roberta Road in Concord or 29747 Tiffany Woods Road in Richfield. After 26 years of welding, she retired as a welder from The Bouligny Company. Bertha is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Burnette Honeycutt; son in law, Frank Neal; brothers, John and Marvin Eugene Thompson; and a grandson, Allen Ray "Turtle" Webb, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Neal, of Concord; sons, Calvin Burnette Honeycutt and wife, Mary Jane, of Richfield and Roger Dale Honeycutt, Sr. and wife, Joyce Ann, of Concord; brother, Robert Lee Thompson, of Mint Hill; sister, Margie Hauss, of Mint Hill; grandchildren, Roger Dale Honeycutt, Jr. and wife, Kendall and Steve Marvin Honeycutt; great grandchildren, Travis Dillon Webb and Jacob Daniel Honeycutt; step grandchildren, Mary Ann Taylor and Alan Ross Motley, Jr.; step great grandchildren, Kelsey Lynn Gray, Allison Taylor, Natalie Gray, Christopher and Jessica Motley.
