Bertha Nash

Bertha Almeta “Bucky” Newton Nash, 88 formerly of Long Avenue Concord, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Universal Healthcare. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 10 until 11 am. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 11 am, with Rev. Tom Whidden officiating. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. Bertha was born on August 21, 1923 to the late William Bergen and Bertha Buff Newton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Samuel Steele Nash, brothers, Otis, Waddell and Hoyle, and sister, Marjorie. She is survived by: daughter, Carol “Susie” Lambert; sons, Vince Nash and wife Judy and Ray Nash and wife Cheryl all of Concord; sisters, Atha Parker of Concord and Eloise Moshoures of North Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Nash family.
