Bertie Ritchie

Bertie Lee Ritchie, 94 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.

She was born December 4, 1919 in Stanly County to the late John F. Lambert and the late Rosettie Lambert. She was also preceded in death by husband, Ayer Whitley Ritchie.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm - 8 pm Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11 am in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Jeremy Hyde and Rev Larry Pittman. Burial will follow at the Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 24671 Millingport Road, Locust.

Survivors include: son, John Alvin (Hilda) Ritchie of Locust; daughter, Hilda Mae (Clarence) Allman of Mount Pleasant; brother, Carl Lambert of Locust; three sisters, Patsy Honeycutt of Locust, Betty Morgan of Oakboro and Mary Brault of Charlotte; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

At other times the family will be meeting at the home of Alvin Ritchie.
