Bessie Lorch

Bessie Lee Lorch, 92, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at her home. Miss Lorch was born April 12, 1918, in Stanly County to the former Matthew Lorch and Onnie Lowder Lorch. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Lorch. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, March 25, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle, officiated by Rev. Gary Hunsucker. Burial will follow in the Canton Baptist Church Cemetery, Albemarle. At other times, the family will meet at the home of her sister, Helen Harwood. Survivors include her sisters, Helen Harwood and husband, Ray, and Jewel Medley and husband, James, all of Albemarle. Memorial may be sent to the American Heart Association, 222 S.
