Bessie Whitley

Bessie Beatrice (Efird) Whitley, age 92, of Locust, N.C., died Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, N.C. She was a member of Providence Church of God, Locust. The family is meeting at the home. . . She was the daughter of the late Grover Efird and the late Mary (Barbee) Efird. She is survived by One Daughter, Mitchelene (Whitley) Tate and husband Danny of Lexington, N.C. Two Sons, Wilbern Whitley and wife Patricia of Oakboro, N.C., Darrell Whitley and wife Mary of Locust, N.C. One Sister, Sister-Maxine Clark of Oakboro, N.C. Twelve grandchildren Eighteen great-grandchildren Eight great-great grandchildren She is also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle, P. O. Box 7, Albemarle, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel-Albemarle at 4:00 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2009 , Rev. Lonnie Daugherty Rev. Todd Kiger officiating.
