Bettie Louise Misenheimer Rogers, 88, of Richfield, went to her heavenly home on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.
Bettie was born January 8, 1933 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late Thomas C. Misenheimer and the late Helen Goodman Misenheimer.
Mrs. Rogers was a graduate of Richfield High School and attended Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, NC. She was employed at Perfect Fit in Richfield for 20 years. She was a life long member of New Bethel Lutheran Church, Richfield. She loved her church and all her church family. Bettie was active from a young age in all aspects of her church. She was an organist at New Bethel for over 60 years. She was also an active member of the Church Choir and Altar Guild, Women's Circle Group, and Youth Group.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by husband, James Carroll (Jimmy) Rogers, whom she married on May 21, 1955; her sister, Bernice M. Monroe of Tennessee, and her brother, JT Misenheimer of Richfield.
She is survived by her son, Warren James Rogers (wife, Renee Rogers) of Oakboro, NC, daughter, Myra Rogers Long (husband, Rev. Terrell Long) of Granite Falls, NC, and grandchildren, Leah Isley, Miriam Smith, Brad Rogers, Josh Rogers, and Jessie Rogers. She is also survived by her nephew, David Misenheimer (wife, Hazel Misenheimer), nieces, Iris Carmen (husband, Stan Carmen) and Alda Misenheimer, sister-in-law, Barbara Ryan, and brother-in-law, Bart Monroe.
The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1:00pm at New Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery at 21746 Rogers Road, Richfield, officiated by Pastor Woodrow Frick. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
The family would like to extend special thanks to staff and friends at Woodhaven Court.
