Betty Jo Burleson Austin, 86 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System Main in Charlotte.
Betty was born June 3, 1929 in Stanly County to the late Zimery Burleson and the late Florence Burleson.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Richard Austin.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at 11:00 am, Monday, May 30, 2016 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Rev. Jay Belk and Ron Dry will officiate.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Bob) Ruckert of Daytona Beach, FL and Sharon Almond of Albemarle; step son, Brad (Melissa) Austin of New London, Burnie (Lori) Austin of Albemarle; three grandchildren, Tabatha (Richard) Shields, Stacy (Curtis) Ragsdale, Jamey Henry; three great grandchildren, Nathan Hathcock, Brandon and Madison Ragsdale; two great great grandchildren, Noah and Jackson Hathcock.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice .
