Betty Baucom

Betty Cline Baucom, 70, of Concord, NC went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2021.

Betty was born March 19, 1950 in Concord, NC to the late Billy Leon Cline and the late Minnie Belle Barrier Cline.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Clarence Baucom in 2017.

Survivors include her son, Michael Baucom and wife Christy; son, David Baucom and wife Vanessa; grandchildren, Dallas Long and husband Garrett, Maeve, Dawson, Dylan and Maggie Baucom; and sister, Debbie Joyner and husband Lang.

Betty was a 1968 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School, and received an Associates Degree from Evans Business College.  She married the love of her life, James "Jim" Baucom on August 6, 1967.  Betty loved to bake and cook for her family.  She especially loved the holidays where she could cook for a house full.  Betty will be dearly missed by her loving family and many dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am - 11:00am on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland, 13575 Broadway Ave., Midland, NC 28107.  A graveside funeral service will follow at 11:30am at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, 420 Hopewell Church Rd., Monroe, officiated by Rev. Lee Pigg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church Building Fund, 420 Hopewell Baptist Church Rd., Monroe, NC 28110.
