Betty Burrage

Betty Cornelia Burrage, 90, of Richfield, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mrs. Burrage was born May 17, 1930 in Rowan County to the late Oliver Falls Yelton and the late Buna Matilda Yelton. She was also preceded in death by husband, Brodus Flynn Burrage Jr.

Betty was a life-long member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a proud graduate of Pfeiffer University and a hospice volunteer.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Sandy Young.

Survivors include daughter, Marsha Burrage Safrit; son, Michael Flynn Burrage (Debby); grandsons, Ahren Flynn Burrage (Alicia), Justin Michael Burrage (Vickie); great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Eliza, Kaleb, Aubrey; brother John Yelton (Patsy); and sister, Barbara Yelton Ridenhour.

Memorials may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund and to Hospice of Stanly & the Uwharrie, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
