Betty Burris

Betty Jean Burris, 89 years of age, of Concord, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Ms. Burris was born March 2, 1928 to the late James Martin and Julia Joyner Burris. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Friendship United Methodist Church in  Concord, officiated by Rev. Roger Armistead. Betty will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery at 4695 Mount Pleasant Road South, Concord.

Survivors include: sisters, Geraldine (Jerri) Smith of Concord, NC and Julia (Babe) Brown of Cape Coral, Fl.

Betty's family would like to extend a special thanks to the residents and staff of Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis and to those of the Tucker Hospice House for their kindness and compassion during this time.
