Betty Cook

Betty Little Cook, 90, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

Betty was born June 16, 1929 in Concord to the late Charles Walter Little and the late Bertha Beauchamp Little.  In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by husband, Fred "Bub" Grady Cook; brothers, CW "June" Little; sister, Dorothy "Dot" Moose; and her only great great-grandchild, Jaylen Shears.

Betty loved working at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital and made many dear friends through her years there.  She enjoyed traveling out west with Bub and gardening.  Betty liked being a part of the "Circle" meetings at Forest Hill UMC, Concord.  She was always feeding the hummingbirds and tending to the flowers in her garden.  She enjoyed having family over for coffee and spending time with her brothers and sisters.  Betty was a loving mother, sister, and Mamaw.   She will be forever loved and greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 21, 2019 Oakwood Cemetery, 471 Church St, Concord, officiated by Rev. Suzanne Dornsmith.  The family will receive friends following the service at Forest Hill UMC, 265 Union St N, Concord.

Survivors include three daughters, Denny Cook Holmes of Canton, GA, Angela Cook of Concord, NC, and Robin Cook Sellers of Calabash, NC; four grandchildren, DJ Holmes, Drue Holmes, Johnathan Shrack and Janie Coltrane Cook; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Shears, Ayden Shrack, Jayleigh Harris and Jensen Messer; brother, Gary (Louise) Little of Concord; and sister, Carolyn Fox of Concord, NC.
