Betty Elizabeth Love Eskridge, 92, of Marion, SC, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, December 1, 2024.
Betty was born in Stanfield, NC, July 22, 1932, to the late Doc Fred Love and the late Cleo Teeter Love. She was preceded in death by husbands, Ralph Allen Huneycutt and Wilton Eskridge; daughter-in-law, Henrietta Huneycutt, brothers, Herman Love and Henry Love, sister, Audrey L. McManus; and step-son, Michael Eskridge.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday December 5, at 12:00 pm at Love's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Stanfield, officiated by Reverend Jim Allred and Pastor Thant McManus.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a lifelong member of Love’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She graduated from Stanfield High School in the class of 1949, where she excelled as a student and enjoyed playing as a member of the high school basketball team. She owned and operated Overdoors of the Carolinas in Locust, NC, for 15 years before moving to Marion, SC, after marrying her second husband Wilton Eskridge. Betty lived in Marion for 46 years where she was a faithful member of the Marion Presbyterian Church, and the Presbyterian Women’s Circle. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed serving as an active member of the Daphne Garden Club for many years.
Survivors include son Richard Allen (Donna-Seno) Huneycutt; grandson, Allen (Jan) Huneycutt; granddaughter, Joanne H. (John) Stokes; great-grandchildren, Madelynn, Rachel, Larson, and Pax Stokes. Step-granddaughters, Elena Michel, and Katherine Seno, and step great-grandson, Angelo Michel.
Step-daughters, Franbeth E. (Baxter) Beeson, Barbara E. (Warren) Montgomery, Victoria E. (Ronnie) Nesbit; step-grandchildren, Andrew (Holly) Beeson, Allison B. (Dale) Cosper, Will (Crystal) Eskridge, Paul (Valerie) Beeson, Craig Pulley, Steve (Lauren) Montgomery; step-great grandchildren; Paige E. (Brian) Davis, Will (Kiersten) Cosper, Lauren Eskridge, Katherine Cosper, Claire Eskridge, Drew Beeson, Baxter Beeson, Mary Hayes Beeson, Luke Beeson, and Scarlett Duvall.

We sincerely appreciate the prayers and support of the many friends and family members who have visited, called, and sent cards to Betty over the past two years.
