Betty Virginia Blackwelder Floyd, age 82 of 34346 Rockfield Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on October 07, 2010 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, on Friday from 6 to 8. Funeral service will be in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel on Saturday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Oakboro Cemetery. She was a seamstress for Knitster and Stanly Knitting Mills. Born in Stanly County on February 06, 1928, she is the daughter of the late Noah Nathaniel Blackwelder and the late Myrtle Faye Poplin Blackwelder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall James Floyd in 1999 and grandson, Brian Page. She is survived by daughters, Joyce Caudle and husband Johnny and Loyce Furr and husband Roy all of Albemarle; brother, Bobby Ray Blackwelder of Albemarle; sister, Frances Plowman of Albemarle and grandchildren, Johnny Caudle, Jr., Misty Roland and Regina Furr and 3 great grandchildren.
