Betty Garmon

Mrs. Betty (Connell) Garmon age 79 of 479 Williamson Street Troy, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center Main in Charlotte. Born on October 12, 1930 in Cabarrus County to the late Homer Sykes Connell and the late Lucy (Herrin) Connell. Mrs. Garmon attended Wingate College, and was a teachers assistant for Troy Elementary School in Montgomery County. The family meeting place will be at the home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle, NC on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 6 PM until 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 2 PM with the Rev. Melvyn Curlee officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survived by: husband, James Garmon of the home; daughters, Kathy McRae & husband Gregory of Colorado Springs, CO; Karen Williams & husband Douglas of Gallup, New Mexico, and Kim Garmon & husband Robert Park of Waynesville, NC; brother, Ben J.
