Betty Lou Morris Hahn, 89, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020.
Betty was born January 7, 1931 in Stanly County to the late James Patterson "Jim" Morris and Mary Lillian Morris.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years John Calvin Hahn, Sr, sister baby Morris, brother Harold Morris, and her grandson Mickey Andrew Hahn.
Betty loved everyone, especially her family and friends. Children were her pride and joy. She frequently reminded her grandchildren when they were in trouble that "Jesus is watching you."
She had multiple talents which she used to glorify God. Among her talents, she loved gardening and shared the harvest with others. She was an excellent cook, the queen of yeast rolls. She was a fine seamstress, not only with yarn and fabric but her love was stitched throughout many lives. She was a true blessing to all wherever she found herself.
Betty Hahn will Lie in State from 12:00-6:00pm, Monday, December 28 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, December 28 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 29 at 11:00 am at Prospect Baptist Church, Masks required to attend service, 502 Prospect Church Rd, Albemarle NC 28001 officiated by Pastors Stoney Benfield and Ray Johnson. A private burial will follow after the service.
Survivors include sons; John Hahn (Debbie) of New London, NC, Terry Hahn (Sandra) of New London, NC, Ken Hahn (Joan) of New London, NC, daughters; Karen Smith (Steve) of Norwood, NC, Amy Cord (John) of New London, NC, grandchildren; Thomas Hahn (Caris), Kelly Hainline (Brett), David Hahn (Sara), Kayte Hahn, Andrew Smith (Janene), Samuel Smith (Ashley), Garrett Smith (Meagan), Austin Smith, Martha Hahn, Christy Carter (Aaron), Tate Cord, Addison Cord and Malachi Cord and great-grandchildren; Ayla Hahn, Nico Andre, Hailey Smith, Aaron Smith, Hallie Smith, Landon Smith, Cameron Smith, Kathryn Smith, Hudson Carter, Hadley Carter, Harper Carter and Huntley Carter with one on the way.
