Betty Hand

Betty Joyce Beck Hand, 86 years of age, of Locust, passed away February 10, 2018 in Matthews, NC.

Betty was born July 15, 1931 in Cleveland County to the late James T. Beck and the late Emma Cason Beck.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Howard Hand, Sr., and son, Robert Howard Hand, Jr.

The graveside service officiated by Rev. Jeremy Hyde will be at 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Rd, Charlotte, NC.

She is survived by her son, Larry Hand and wife Donna of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; daughter, Denise Graham and husband Michael of Locust; grandchildren, Adam Hand and wife Jackie of Bellingham, Wash., Jennifer Burleson and husband Jeff of Locust, Arron Hand and wife Katie of Kings Mountain, and Jackson Graham of Locust; great-grandchildren, Kinley, Declan & Emrie Burleson all of Locust; and sister, Sarah Yandle of Concord.

The family would like to thank the Staff of Royal Park Nursing Home in Matthews and Hospice and Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region for the superior care that was given to our mother.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.  Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Hand family.
