Betty Hatley

Betty Miller Rimer Hatley, 90 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Betty was born August 29, 1924 in Cabarrus County to the late Everette Foil Rimer and the late Esther Rimer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Hatley; brother, Charles Rimer; and sister, Kathryn Fultz.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Main Street United Methodist Church in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Fred Carpenter. The burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.

She is survived by her son, Steve Hatley and wife Tish of Salisbury; daughters, Kathy Hatley of Albemarle; Jan Salesky and husband Paul of Sinking Spring, PA; grandchildren, Matt Hatley and wife Lindsay of Mooresville, Jodi Brown and husband Jason of Holly Springs, Alex Salesky of Sinking Spring, PA; and brother, Clifford Rimer and wife Betty of Concord.

Betty graduated from Mercy School of Nursing, and worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She was a faithful member of Main Street United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir.
