Betty Hester

Betty Rose Dennis Eudy Hester, 79 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Betty was born September 22, 1934 in Stanly County to the late David Albert Dennis and the late Elsie Elizabeth Huneycutt Dennis. She was also preceded in death by 12 siblings. A celebration of life will be held, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Rosebriar Restaurant, 528 Wiscassett St., Albemarle, NC 28001. At other times the family will be gathering at the home her daughter Gail Burris, 37020 Tercher Rd. in New London. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Eudy Burris and husband Alan of New London, Sharon Eudy Surratt and husband Donnie of Denton, and Brona Winchester and husband John of Bryson City; step-daughter, Ann Cupp and husband Ken of Lexington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lottie Morris of Virginia; and special friends Bonnie Dennis and Barbara Garrett.
