Betty Howard

Betty Jean Howard, 80 years of age, of Midland, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at CMC - NorthEast in Concord. Mrs. Howard was born June 30, 1933 in Mecklenburg County to the late Henry Wiley Gardner and the late Annie Elizabeth Gardner . She was also preceded in death by husband, Worth Baker Howard. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland. The funeral service will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Thomas Gibbs. Survivors include son, Vernon Howard of Midland; daughter, Kathy (Brian) Decker of Mt Pleasant; grandson, Joey Decker of Mt Pleasant; granddaughter, Megan (Dusty) Lemmons of Locust; and great-grandson, Karson Lemmons. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Howard family.
