Betty Kimrey

Betty Lee Hannah Kimrey, 81 years of age, of Norwood, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at her home. Betty was born November 14, 1931 in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Boss Hannah and the late Nannie Teal Hannah. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Bobby, Zeb, Thomas, John Robert, Levander, Franklin, and Jim Hannah; and sisters, Annie Brock, Ruth Boan, and Beatrice Brock. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Steve Barbee officiating. The burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery in Norwood following the service. She is survived by her husband, James Eben Kimrey, Sr. of the home; son, James Eben "JE" Kimrey, Jr. of Norwood; daughter, Carolyn Kimrey Biles and husband Eddie of Mount Gilead; granddaughters, Jennifer Biles Carter and husband Ashley of Albemarle, Summer Biles Jolly and husband Josh of Albemarle, great granddaughter, Ava Grace Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty retired from Collins & Aikman in Norwood as a winder operator and fixer, and was a member of Gleaning Mission Church in Oakboro. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N.
