Betty Furr Hoggard Love, 78 years of age, of Locust, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her daughter's residence in Albemarle.
Betty was born May 15, 1938 in Union County to the late Lumas Bill Furr and the late Gertha Kiker Furr. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Hoggard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Bethel Baptist Church in Locust officiated by Rev. Keith Austin. Burial will follow at the Kinza Memorial Church Cemetery at 4311 Love Mill Rd., Stanfield.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Love of Locust; daughter, Judy Hoggard of Albemarle, son, David (Liz) Hoggard of Midland, daughter, Kathy (Tony) Austin of Locust; grandchildren Dana Layton of Locust, Stephen Austin of Locust, Michael Hoggard, David Hoggard and Logan Hoggard all of Midland, Gregory Hoggard, Maurice Hoggard; stepson, Aaron Love of Midland; stepdaughters, Lisa Love of Charlotte and Carla (Wayne) Shirley of Mint Hill; great grandchildren, Emerald Layton, Allysa Layton, Christian Layton, Seth Austin and Breyden Austin; stepgrandchild, Ryan Poole.
