Betty Love

Betty Anne Love, age 78, formerly of Concord, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at CMC NorthEast. She was born on October 6, 1932 in Cabarrus County to the late Robert Jackson and Annie Minerva Barnhardt Goodman. Betty is also preceded in death by her husband DB Love Jr., who passed away in January 2009. Betty previously attended Coltrane Life Center, and was currently residing at Preston House Alzheimer’s Assisted Living in Charlotte since July, 2010. She was a life long member of St. James the Great Catholic Church and a homemaker. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord on Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm, with a prayer vigil at 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be at St. James the Greater Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11:00 with Father Dionne to officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by daughters, Joyce Ausmann and husband, Danny, of Concord, Judy Kakavitsas and husband, Petros, of Charlotte, and Alice Reynolds and husband, Glenn, of Advance; grandchildren, Katie Farmer, Nicholas Kakavitsas, and Jaron, Sean, Joey, and Karl Reynolds; great grandchildren, Alexander and Helen Farmer; and sisters, Marie Howard, of Concord and Louise Brown, of Tenn.
