Betty Lou Reeder, 86, of Locust, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.

Betty was born February 3, 1934 in Stanfield to the late Dewey and Addie Love.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred Earl Reeder; daughter, Sonda Kay Smith; and 11 siblings.

Betty was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Stanfield, for many years and faithfully volunteered to clean the church with her husband, Earl.  She and Earl also volunteered with the bus ministry.  Betty retired as a supervisor from hosiery mills in Concord.  She was a hard worker and devoted mother.  Betty will be dearly missed and forever loved.

She is survived by Linn Reeder and wife, Brenda, of Red Cross; daughter, Ann Carver and husband, Charles, of Salisbury; grandchildren, Scott and Craig Reeder, Brian Carver, Tracy Willis, and Scott Smith; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Cole, Jackson, and Kaitlyn Reeder, Brooke, Taylor, and Haylee Willis, and Natalie and Ethan Carver.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Friendship Baptist Church of Stanfield in the sanctuary.  A graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm in the church cemetery, officiated by Evangelist Charles Carver and Pastor Clint Lewey.
