Betty Shaver

Betty Marie Shaver, 81, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018.

Mrs. Shaver was born December 4, 1936 to the late Ulysess and Carrie Howell Morton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Ray Shaver and son, Steven Ray Shaver. Betty enjoyed growing flowers and attending her church, where she was a devoted member.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Canton Baptist Church, 24615 Endy Road, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Mark Mabry. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include: son, Lynn Shaver; grandsons, Jeremy (Kim) Shaver, Eric (Stephanie) Shaver; daughter-in-law, Doris Shaver; great-grandchildren, Lucas Shaver, Charles Shaver; Maggie Shaver; sister, Shirley Strickland; niece Tamara Eudy; nephew, Tony Strickland.
