Betty Smith

Betty Taylor Smith, 87, of Concord, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021, after a long period of declining health.

Mrs. Smith was born August 11, 1934 to the late Clarence and  Maggie Yow Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Wilma Cooper, Mary Spradley, Helen Ford, Marie Hudson; brothers, Jack Taylor and Willie Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 12:45 pm, on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, in the chapel, officiated by Rev. Jesse Watkins. Burial will conclude at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis.

Betty is survived by her husband, A.B. Wallace Smith of the home; stepson, Wallace Smith, and Jennifer.; granddaughter, Ashley Krimminger , and husband Aaron; great-granddaughter, Ava Caldwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 156 Corporate Blvd., Indian Trail, NC 28079.

The family would like to thank Tinder Heart Adult Care of Concord and Tanya from Community Hospice for her exceptional care of Betty during this time.
