Betty Ward

Betty Lou Helms Ward, 69, of Midland, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020.

Mrs. Ward was born January 16, 1951 to the late Jack Sturgis and Iva Thomas Helms. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her nephew, Bryan Callahan.

Betty will lie in state at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland from 12:00 - 5:00 pm, on Saturday, April 25, 2020. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at 2:00 pm, at Arlington Baptist Church, 9801 Arlington Church Rd., Charlotte, officiated by Pastor Rick Whittier.

Survivors include: husband, Gene Ward; son, Brian Ward and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Abbey and Kloe Ward; sister, Helen Callahan and husband Gerald; nephews, Garrett and Dillon Callahan.

Memorials may be made to Arlington Baptist Church, 9801 Arlington Church Road., Charlotte, 28227.
