Betty Whitley

Betty Ruth Palmer Whitley, 58, of Stanfield, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center – Mercy in Charlotte. Mrs. Whitley was born August 27, 1954 in Cabarrus County to the late Olen John Palmer, Sr. and Mildred Amanda Fisher Palmer. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Olen Palmer, Jr. and her sister, Pat Yow. The family will receive friends from 6 -9 p.m., at the home Thursday evening at 162 Polk Ford Road, Stanfield. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, with a 30 minute state prior to the service, at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church, 4311 Love Mill Road, Stanfield, NC 28163. Rev. Dr. Darrell Nance will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Terrel Whitley, of the home; sons, Chad Foreman and wife, Amity, and Scottie Foreman, all of Oakboro; daughter, Tonya Arrowood and husband, Shon, of Oakboro; and grandchildren, Andrew and Ashley Arrowood and Heidi and Kanyon Foreman.
