Betty Jean Wiley, 72 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her residence.
Betty was born January 23, 1944 in Georgia to the late Clarence Russell Scroggs and Elsie Raye Scroggs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Wiley.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Red Cross Baptist Church in Oakboro. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in Red Cross Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Gary Baker and Rev. Ron Nichols. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Gilmore, Tonya Crayton and husband, John, and Misty Rowland and husband, Wayne; step-daughter, Tina Eudy; seven grandchildren, Cassie Morrow and husband Will, Jacob Gilmore, Kyle Crayton, Madison Crayton, Mimi Rowland, Kayla Rowland, Cody Rowland; great-grandson, Liam Morrow; step-granddaughter, Ashley Pickler and husband, Robbie; step-great-granddaughter, Izzie Pickler; three sisters, Cathy Pierce, Linda Delanhy, and Gladys Locklear; and one brother, Jim Scroggs.
