Beulah Mabe

Beulah Ann Lambert Mabe, 79 years of age, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast in Concord, NC. Beulah was born on March 13, 1934 to the late Wiley Jarome Lambert and the late Scrappie Lowder Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Claudie Dale Mabe; two brothers and eight sisters. She graduated from Albemarle High School and lived in Albemarle her entire life. She was a stay at home mother until her daughters got older, she then worked at Cassie Cotillion for many years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rebecca Mabe Evans and husband, Jonathan and Susan Mabe Rea and husband, Todd, all of Harrisburg. She leaves behind four beloved grandchildren, Justin Alan Evans, Emily Evans Koury, Lindsey Elizabeth Rea and Erica Nicole Rea, all of whom were her greatest joy in life. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, March 3, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Bryan Franklin will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Plyer Baptist Church where she was a member. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Plyler Baptist Church Cemetery, 25958 Austin Road, Albemarle, NC 28001. The family greatly appreciates the love and care given to her by special family members and friends, especially as her health declined. A special thank you to Calista for her assistance and friendship. Beulah enjoyed her companionship and was extremely grateful for her help. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Mabe family.
