Bill D. Clay, 87 years of age, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his home in Concord.
Bill was born September 11, 1929 in Concord to the late Wherry and the late Pearl Clay. He was also preceded in death by wife of 63 years, Eva Knowles Clay.
The family will receive friends Saturday January 21, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral service will be Saturday at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Lynn Shue. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
Survivors include his son, Guy and wife Joyce Clay of Concord; his daughter, Sharon and husband Sherrill Barbee of Concord; granddaughter; Krista and husband Brian Shepherd, grandsons; Shane and wife Jennifer Barbee and Shaun and wife Kelly Barbee, great grand children; Dillon, Mackenzie and Davin Shepherd, Ava Brooke and Grant Barbee, Zachary, Kendall and Kasen Barbee. Special nieces and nephews; David and Aida Smith and Barbara Morgan and David Burkette.
