Billie Huneycutt

Billie Helms Huneycutt, 89, of Locust, passed away, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Stanly Manor in Albemarle. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Stanfield on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 am with a 30 minute state. Rev. Dwight Mabry will officiate and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. She was born on October 27, 1923 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late William Krone Helms and Bertha Magdalene Crayton Helms. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Tyson Huneycutt; brothers, Russell Helms and Gene Helms; and sister, Ruth Davis. She is survived by her son, Bob Huneycutt and wife Georgia of Albuquerque, NM; her daughters, Karen Huneycutt Hartsell and husband Rusty of Locust, Glendel Huneycutt of Minneapolis, MN; a sister, Hyacinth Jenkins and husband Alfred of Winston Salem; seven grandchildren, John Hartsell, Amy Lisk and husband Mark, Angie Connell and husband Dwain, Brett Thomas Huneycutt, Ashley Katherine Huneycutt, Audra Carr and husband Harvey, and Bart Huneycutt; and five great-grandchildren, Emily, Katherine, Sarah, Michael, and Makynlee.
