Billie Sue Canfield Paulhus passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016.
Sue was born in Charlotte on November 21, 1929 to the late William Edward and Ila Rosella (Shook) Canfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Paulhus. She is survived by her brother Robert E. Canfield & wife, Katherine of Charlotte, sister, Kathleen E. Harmon & husband, Harold of Huntersville.
Also surviving are nieces, Michelle Arrington and Candice D. Kidd & husband, Eric Kidd, and grandniece, Jordan Kidd of Flower Mound Texas and nephew, James E. Canfield & wife, Tina Canfield, grandnephew, Kyle Canfield and grandniece, Paige of Fuquay Varina.
Sue enjoyed home decorating, flower gardening and collecting cookbooks.
In her later years she suffered from dementia and the family would especially like to recognize the excellent care given by Dr. Mary Katherine Russell, Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast, Comfort Keepers (Wanda Shuff), Stanly County EMs and Hospice of Cabarrus County.
There will be no visitation or service at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County and/or givetocure.org (dementia research).
