Billy Blackwelder

Billy Wadsworth Blackwelder, 94, of Concord, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Mr. Blackwelder was born December 21, 1925 in Cabarrus North Carolina to the late Daniel C. Blackwelder and the late Martha Foster Blackwelder.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Garmon Blackwelder ; sons, Timothy Mark Blackwelder and Billy Wadsworth Blackwelder, Jr.; daughter Becky Blackwelder Fink.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Wednesday August 12, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service will follow in the chapel with the Reverend Rick Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.

Survivors include sons, Daniel Jason Blackwelder (Diane), James Blackwelder (Wendy) also of Concord, NC, son, Patrick Blackwelder of Landis, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren,  Connie Arstark, Andy Blackwelder, Eric Blackwelder, Blake Blackwelder, Bradley, Caleb and Josh Blackwelder and Billy W. Fink; his great grandchildren, Amber, Brittany, and Justin Fink, McKenzie, Savannah, and Max Arstark, Tessa and Ada Blackwelder.
