Billy Faggart

Billy Eugene Faggart, 91, of Tryon, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at Autumn Care in Saluda after years of declining health

Billy was born in Cabarrus County on November 1, 1926 to the late Harry Edward Faggart and Emma Eugenia "Jenny" Wade Faggart.
He was also preceded in death by first wife Carolyn Thornburg Faggart; brother Harry Edward Faggart, Jr.; sister Dorothy Faggart Barrier; and two sons, John Edward Faggart and Stephan Eric Faggart.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Friday, July 13, 2018 at Mt Hermon Luthern Church. The funeral service will be on Friday at 3:00 pm at Mt. Herman Lutheran Church in Concord. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Survivors include wife, Lena M. Faggart of Tryon, NC; son, Billy  Eugene Faggart, Jr.(Margrit); daughter, Jennifer Faggart Asuncion (Errel); and two stepchildren Vickie Hoke and Jeffrey Hall (Wendy). In addition, there are eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ( 1954). He worked as an investment broker for many years in Tryon where he started his own investment firm.
