Billy Hathcock

Billy Ray Hathcock, 64, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at his home.

Billy was born December 24, 1956 in North Carolina to the late Raymond Odell Hathcock and the late Rosa Mae Morton Hathcock.
He was also preceded in death by brother, Carl Odell Hathcock, and special nephews, Donald Presley and Eric Hathcock.

The family will receive friends from Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 10:00 am until Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 11:00 am in "The Building" at Billy's Home where he will lie-in-state. As Billy always says, "Come Early... Stay Late". The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 11:00 am in "The Building" officiated by Rev. Alex Willoughby.

Survivors include wife, Susan Chandler Hathcock of the home, sisters, Jane Chastain and Lucille Presley of Albemarle, brothers, Arlie Hathcock and Grady (Debbie) Hathcock of Albemarle, Lee Roy (Judy) Hathcock of Norwood, and Raymond "Monty" (Jody) Quick of Charlotte, as well as many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Billy was free-hearted and never met a stranger. He was a thoughtful and generous person who would help anybody any way he could. Billy will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all of the first responders who gave assistance.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family as a love offering to assist with funeral expenses.
