The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2021 at First Baptist of Oakboro in the fellowship hall. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the fellowship hall, and will be officiated by Rev. Jonathan Waites and Rev. Terrell Watts.   Masks are required for the visitation and service. Billy loved planting a garden every Summer.  He was better known for his ability to repair almost any appliance, and did so for over 50 years.  His dry sense of humor along with his ability to recall many childhood stories and "poems" will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.  His definition of Love was "Toleration".  Our Daddy and Grandpa will be "Tolerated" for a very long time.
