Blanche Parks

Blanche Mildred Wood Parks, 91 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Blanche was born July 22, 1921 in Pelzer, SC to the late Beverly P. Wood and the late Tecora Tiller Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Parks, Jr.; son, Jerry Stancil; and daughter, Patricia Ann Parks. The memorial service will be at 4 PM on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Plyler Baptist Church, officiated Rev. Brian Franklin. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. She is survived by her son, Jack Parks and wife Tammy; and their children Christopher, Cory, and Kaitilyn, all of the home; nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Blanche was a member of Plyler Baptist Church. She was caring and giving, and loved working with children. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
