Biography Blanche Eva Chandler Vanhoy, 100 years of age, of New London, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.

Ms.Vanhoy was born October 22, 1915 to the late Clarence and Ollie Springer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husbands; Coy Vester Chandler and Charles Vanhoy, as well as, one sister Pearl Huneycutt. Blanche was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be remembered for her family contributions and her excellent cooking skills.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:30 pm, Friday, May 13, 2016, at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel with Elder Branan Hooven officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Cemetery at 44118 HWY 740, New London.

Survivors include: son, Roger Chandler of New London; daughters, Millie Claudette Kepley of Goldsboro, Peggy Davis of Albemarle, Kay Harrington of Richfield; brothers, Roy Springer of Albemarle, Welton Springer of Aquadale; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hopice of Stanly and the Uwharrie 960 N. 1st St. Albemarle.
